How do you create animations in Webflow?

We use three tools. Webflow's native Interactions, which now include a version powered by GSAP, handle scroll, hover, and page-load motion in the Designer. GSAP code takes over when a custom animation needs control the panel lacks. Lottie files carry illustrated motion that a designer exported from an animation tool. Foursets picks the tool for each interaction and tells you the reason before the build starts.

Can you use GSAP in Webflow?

Yes. Webflow acquired GSAP in the fall of 2024, according to its own blog, and has since made it 100% free, including the plugins that used to be paid, with a standard license that covers commercial use. In July 2025, according to its updates page, Webflow released Interactions with GSAP to all users at no additional cost. Foursets builds in that panel and writes GSAP code where the motion goes past what the panel offers.

What are the limitations of Webflow?

For motion, the limit is Webflow's native Interactions panel, and Foursets covers the rest in GSAP code. Logic is a separate job. A calculator or conditional logic on a page needs custom code, which our developers write and test on staging. Gated content needs a membership tool such as Memberstack, since Webflow retired its own User Accounts in January 2026.

How do you fix animation issues in Webflow?

Foursets starts by finding the cause. The usual causes are an animation too heavy for the page, an interaction with no phone layout, or a clash with motion and scripts already on the site. We reproduce the issue on staging, then rework the part that breaks. When the whole page loads slowly, our page speed optimization work covers the rest of the page as well.

When do you need help with complex Webflow interactions?

When the motion needs GSAP, has to share a page with interactions already running, or must hold up on phones. One-time work starts at $60/hour. Foursets hourly packages start at $900/month with a 72-hour turnaround, and retainers start at $3,000/month, one task at a time with a 48-hour turnaround per task. A set of interactions that is already designed follows our 5-day plan. If the motion has no design yet, our custom animation design work starts there.

What are interactions in Webflow and how are they used?

Interactions are animations that start on a trigger, such as a page load, a scroll, a hover, or a click. Webflow interactions are built in the Interactions panel of the Designer or written in GSAP code. On a business site they show how a product works, guide the reader down the page, and answer the cursor. Foursets builds each one for one of those jobs.
